The Adopt A Stream Foundation

One of the most outstanding efforts in our community, the goal of the Adopt A Stream Foundation is to educate persons to care for and protect the streams and waterways of their watershed.  Housed at 600 128th St. SE,Everett, behind McCullom Park and the Snohomish County Master Gardeners, this Northwest Stream Center offers educational seminars, lectures on native flora and fauna, walks along the North Creek, and a trout viewing stream.  Tom Murdoch, the Foundation leader and inspiration, has gathered an enthusiastic support team that constantly encourages visitors to become members and supporters of their environmental effort.  They are available at  www.adopt-a-stream.org or www.streamkeeper.org.

Futurewise -futurewise.org/snohomish/‎ "Futurewise is a statewide public interest group working to promote healthy communities and cities while protecting farmland, forests and shorelines today and for future generations." Leadership provided by Kirstin Kelly.

Lake Stickney Conservancy -Developers have attempted to change the zoning on the West Side of Lake Stickney which encompasses about 40 acres, including Class A Wetlands.  Because of this threat, our neighbors have formed "The Lake Stickney Conservancy" ,whose mission is to protect these Class A Wetlands. This group has acquired 23 acres on the West side and are creating a park for the public.Lake Stickney Community Club House, 1428 S. Livable Snohomish County Coalition -(LSCC) exists as an educational, advocacy and networking opportunity for the residents of Snohomish County. The Mission of LSCC is to "Provide a Livable Snohomish County By Preserving Our Quality of Life."

Mukilteo Wildlife Habitat Project - www.mukilteowildlife.org/‎ ,Meets last Thursday of the month at the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce Building from 7 to 9 p.m. Leadership has been provided by Janet Carroll.

Seven Lakes Association - 7-lakes.org -Lakes PMB 341,3405 172nd ST NE, #5, Arlington, WA 98223  This group is dedicated to the protection of the water table and watersheds, quality of life of the seven lakes region of Snohomish County.  The largest of the lakes is Lake Goodwin.  Leadership has been provided by Ellen Hiatt Watson.
